What is PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy) Eye Surgery?
PRK is a treatment method in which ametropia such as myopia, hyperopia or astigmatism are eliminated with the help of the excimer laser. In contrast to the commonly used LASIK method of PRK treatment, a thin flap is not prepared with an incision in the cornea, but the epithelial layer on top of the cornea is scraped off and the excimer laser is applied to the tissue below and the Refractive disorder is eliminated.
